The VTW Story and our Awesome Crew!

Vintage Trailer Works was born as an idea to build a visually retro style camper, with modern amenities, for adventure seekers that desired style over the cookie cutter models offered by the mass production RV manufacturers today. With the inception of their idea,  in their 1-car garage, owners Damon and Stacy Crunk only had room to build small…a camper style that is known today in the RV/camper market as a “Teardrop”. When Stacy acquired her first Jeep, Damon started researching off-road campers that could be pulled by smaller vehicles like her Wrangler. That began the design, production, testing, and research phase. Once the design and logistics were dialed in for the demo/prototype - they began successfully building campers in their Cottonwood, Alabama garage.

It was not long before the Crunks and VTW outgrew their garage; therefore, they moved production to a 7,500 square foot shop in the nearby town of Dothan. With the popularity of their flagship model, The XTR Off-Road Teardrop Camper, their family of skilled craftsmen aka, their employees, also grew. Fast forward 6 years and inject a need for more space, due to popularity, they acquired a  30,000 square foot manufacturing warehouse standing on 5+ acres. After remodeling the new facility, they got to work and implemented a future growth plan that will carry VTW for many years.  VTW looks forward to bringing new off-road camper models  with exciting innovations to market as well as the retro styled Cosmic Cruiser that inspired their company namesake so many years ago.

We look forward to working with you.
